Larger SimBooth 2 enclosure

Approx. 12’1” (W) × 12’ (D) × 8’9” (H) enclosure provides more space and a bigger screen than Kit 1, ideal for clubs and larger rooms.

Designed for golf facilities & big spaces

Built with heavier-duty framing and sizing that works well in commercial or semi-commercial environments, while still fitting many home spaces.

Full-surface floor system

Raised floor platform runs the length of the booth so stance, ball position, and screen edge line up cleanly.

Half walls for containment

Left and right half walls help contain shots and visually frame the hitting bay like a real indoor hitting stall.

Crease-free impact screen

Screen is tensioned top, bottom, and sides to minimize wrinkles and reduce ball bounce-back for a comfortable hitting experience.

Commercial hitting mat

Includes a 32” × 54” × 2” mat designed to feel closer to fairway turf while holding up under frequent use.

IDRA II overhead launch monitor

Overhead, camera-based launch monitor that tracks club and ball data without needing reflective dots or specialty balls, good for both left- and right-handed golfers.

BenQ AH30ST Full HD projector

Short-throw Full HD projector designed for golf simulators, optimized to fill the large 16:10 screen from a relatively short distance.

GSPro integration (1-year membership)

Getting Started Guide

Getting Started Guide

  1. Verify your room size

    • Measure your space and confirm it meets or exceeds the recommended minimum room dimensions.

    • Make sure there’s clear swing space for your longest club and no overhead obstructions.

  2. Plan layout & PC location

    • Decide where the SimBooth 2 will sit in the room and where your PC will live (side wall, behind the enclosure, etc.).

    • Confirm where power outlets and network connections are.

  3. Unpack the crate

    • Open the shipping crate and sort components into groups: structure panels, floor panels, half walls, screen, mat, IDRA II, projector, beam, hardware, and cables.

  4. Pre-stage components

    • Bring all parts into the final room (so you don’t have to move the assembled structure later).

    • Lay ceiling and wall panels roughly in position on the floor to visualize assembly.

  5. Review the installation guide

    • Read through the SimBooth installation instructions once before starting so you understand the sequence (ceiling → walls → floor → tech).

  6. Assemble the frame on the floor

    • Follow the guide to connect ceiling sections and upper wall frames while they’re still lying flat.

  7. Install lower panels & bracing

    • Attach lower wall panels and any structural braces that stiffen the enclosure before raising it.

  8. Raise the enclosure

    • With your helpers, tilt and lift the assembled frame upright into its final position.

    • Check that all sides are straight, level, and square.

  9. Install the screen & floor

    • Mount the impact screen, keeping tension even around the perimeter.

    • Lay floor panels and install the hitting mat so everything is flat and flush with the screen edge.

  10. Mount IDRA II and projector

    • Attach the IDRA II launch monitor to its overhead mounting location.

    • Install the projector beam and mount the BenQ projector at the approximate recommended distance.

  11. Connect PC, power, and cables

    • Log in, pair the launch monitor, and confirm that shots are registering.

  13. Fine-tune & test

    • Adjust projector zoom, focus, and keystone so the image fills the screen.

    • Hit test shots and adjust camera/launch monitor settings for accurate ball flight and distances.

Product Installation Guide

Product Installation Guide

  1. Gather tools & helpers

    • Plan on 3–4 adults to safely lift and align panels.

    • Have basic tools ready: socket set or wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measure, level, ladders/step stools.

  2. Assemble the ceiling frame

    • On the floor, connect the ceiling frame pieces using the supplied bolts, washers, and nuts.

    • Confirm all joints are tight and the frame is square.

  3. Attach upper wall panels

    • Bolt upper side and rear wall panels to the ceiling frame.

    • Check alignment and correct any gaps before tightening hardware fully.

  4. Install lower wall panels & braces

    • Attach lower wall panels to complete each side.

    • Install any cross-bracing or stiffeners (like scissor bars or cross-members) as specified in the guide.

  5. Add half walls

    • Attach half walls to the sides of the enclosure according to the mounting points shown in the instructions.

    • Make sure they’re plumb and aligned with the main frame.

  6. Raise the assembled structure

    • With helpers, lift the entire wall/ceiling assembly upright into position.

    • Slide it into its final location and double-check clearances to the room walls/ceiling.

  7. Level and square the frame

    • Use a level to verify floor contact points and vertical posts.

    • Adjust slightly if needed so the frame isn’t twisted—this will help the screen hang flat.

  8. Install floor panels

    • Starting at the front or back (as specified in the SimBooth guide), lay the full-surface floor panels in order.

    • Make sure panels interlock securely and sit flat with no rocking.

  9. Install the hitting mat

    • Place the commercial hitting mat into its intended location, aligning it with the hitting zone marked for IDRA II.

    • Confirm the mat height is flush with the surrounding floor.

  10. Mount the impact screen

    • Attach the screen at the top center, then work outwards and down, tensioning evenly.

    • Ensure there are no major wrinkles and that the bottom edge lines up cleanly with the floor edge.

  11. Mount IDRA II overhead

    • Attach the IDRA II bracket to the pre-drilled mounting pattern on the enclosure ceiling.

    • Secure the launch monitor to the bracket and route its cables along the frame toward the PC location.

  12. Install the projector beam and projector

    • Fix the projector beam/mount to the frame at the recommended distance from the screen.

    • Attach the BenQ AH30ST to the mount, roughly center it, and tighten enough to keep it steady while you fine-tune aim later.

  13. Cable management

    • Run power and HDMI to the projector; run USB/network cables for IDRA II to the PC.

    • Use cable clips, zip ties, or stick-on channels to keep cables off the floor and out of the hitting area.

  14. PC & software setup

    • Set your PC display resolution and refresh rate to match the projector’s capabilities.

    • Install GSPro and IDRA II software, then follow their prompts to complete setup and licensing.

  15. Calibration & final checks

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What’s the main difference between SimBooth Kit 1 and SimBooth Kit 2?

A: Both are complete “booth + tech” packages, but Kit 2 uses the larger SimBooth 2 enclosure, which is wider and taller and has a larger screen. Kit 1 is best for standard garages/bonus rooms; Kit 2 is ideal for larger home spaces, teaching bays, and clubs that want a more spacious hitting environment.

Q: What exactly comes with SimBooth Kit 2?

A: You get the SimBooth 2 enclosure, full-surface floor system, half walls, crease-free impact screen, 32” × 54” × 2” commercial hitting mat, IDRA II overhead launch monitor, BenQ AH30ST Full HD short-throw projector, projector beam/mount, a 1-year GSPro membership, and all required mounting hardware and basic cabling.

Q: How much space do I need?

A: You should plan for a room that’s at least around 14’ wide × 16’ deep × 9’7” high, with more depth and width being even better. This ensures safe swings, proper projector throw distance, and enough space behind the hitting area.

Q: Can I install SimBooth Kit 2 myself?

A: Yes. The kit is designed for self-installation with a small team (typically 3–4 adults). Most customers assemble the structure, floor, screen, and tech in a few hours by following the step-by-step guide. No specialized construction crew is required, but having extra hands makes lifting and alignment much easier and safer.

Q: Is it suitable for both right- and left-handed golfers?

A: Yes. Because the IDRA II launch monitor is mounted overhead, it can track shots from both right- and left-handed players in the same hitting zone without moving hardware.

Q: What software does it use and can I change later?

A: SimBooth Kits are sold with a 1-year GSPro membership included. After the first year, you can renew GSPro or manage your subscription directly with the software provider. IDRA II is compatible with GSPro and certain other sim platforms, so you’ll have options if you want to experiment later.

Q: Can I upgrade to a 4K projector version?

A: Yes. SimBooth also offers a Kit 2-4K configuration that swaps the Full HD BenQ AH30ST for a 4K short-throw projector (e.g., AK700ST). On your store, you can either list Kit 2 and Kit 2-4K as separate products or offer the 4K projector as an upgrade option.
