Getting Started Guide

1. Unbox and verify contents

   Take the Vision GS, toolkit, and sticker out of the box. Confirm the screen is intact, paddles move freely, and there’s no visible damage.
   
   

2. Check base and adapter compatibility

   Make sure you have a MOZA wheelbase (any current model) or a third-party base plus MOZA Universal Hub Kit if you plan to use it outside the MOZA ecosystem.
   
   

3. Power off your wheelbase

   Shut down your base and PC (or at least turn the base off) before mounting the wheel to avoid unexpected movement during installation.
   
   

4. Attach the wheel via quick release

   Align the MOZA quick-release hub on the Vision GS with the base hub. Push the wheel straight on until it fully clicks into place. Gently pull and twist to confirm it’s locked with no play.
   
   

5. Reconnect power and USB

   Turn your base back on and make sure your base is connected to the PC via USB (through the usual base connection).
   
   

6. Install or open MOZA Pit House

   On your PC, install MOZA Pit House if you haven’t already. Launch it and verify that the base and Vision GS wheel are detected.
   
   

7. Update firmware (if prompted)

   Run any firmware updates for the wheel or base to ensure you have the latest FFB, display, and UI features.
   
   

8. Calibrate inputs

   In Pit House, open the input test screen. Check that all buttons, encoders, paddles, the funky switch, and the joystick register correctly.
   
   

9. Set up your UI and LEDs

   Choose a preset dash or build your own layout for the circular display. Configure shift lights and RGB button colors to match your cars or sims.
   
   

10. Configure in your sim and test drive

    Launch your favorite sim (iRacing, ACC, F1, etc.), bind all your controls, and do a few laps. Make small tweaks in Pit House and in-game until everything feels natural.

1. Prepare your rig and base

    

   • Ensure your wheelbase is firmly mounted to a cockpit or stand with minimal flex.

   • Check that wheel height and distance are comfortable for a 310 mm rim.

    

2. Inspect quick-release and slip ring

    

   • Verify the MOZA quick-release splines are clean and undamaged.

   • Make sure there’s no dust or debris around the base’s slip-ring area.

    

3. Mounting on a MOZA base

    

   • With the base powered off, align the Vision GS hub with the base hub.

   • Push firmly until the QR locks.

   • Test for any movement by gently twisting and pulling the rim; it should feel solid.

    

4. Mounting via Universal Hub (3rd-party base)

    

   • Attach the MOZA Universal Hub Kit to your third-party base following the hub’s instructions.

   • Install the Vision GS onto the hub’s QR and connect the hub to your PC as required.

    

5. Cable routing & safety

    

   • Route the base’s power and USB cables so they don’t interfere with the pedals, seat rails, or wheel rotation.

   • Use cable ties or clips to secure cables along your rig.

    

6. Power up and detect devices

    

   • Turn your base and PC on.

   • Let the base complete its centering routine with your hands clear of the wheel.

    

7. Configure Pit House device settings

    

   • Open MOZA Pit House and select the Vision GS profile.

   • Test all buttons, encoders, paddles, and joystick; calibrate if necessary.

   • Set your preferred degrees of rotation and any safety limits (torque caps, dampers) at the base level.

    

8. Customize display and layouts

    

   • In the UI editor, choose one of the 10 preset dashboards as a starting point or build a custom layout.

   • Adjust information shown (speed, gear, shift lights, gaps, etc.) to suit the sim you’re running.

    

9. LED & telemetry configuration

    

   • Set RPM thresholds and color patterns for the top-mounted shift lights.

   • Optionally tie button or LED colors to specific game states (e.g., pit limiter, rain lights) using Pit House telemetry options.

    

10. Final checks

     

    • With the car stationary in-game, turn the wheel lock-to-lock and press all controls to ensure nothing fouls your knees, rig, or monitor.

    • After your first few sessions, re-check the base mounting and QR engagement for tightness.
