Getting Started Guide
-
Unbox and inspect
Take the RS V2, toolkit, and sticker out of the box. Inspect the rim, paddles, and connectors to ensure there’s no visible shipping damage.
-
Confirm base compatibility
Make sure you have a MOZA direct-drive wheelbase (any current MOZA base is supported). Ensure its firmware is reasonably up to date via MOZA Pit House.
-
Power off the wheelbase
Turn off your base and, if possible, disconnect power before mounting the wheel to avoid movement during installation.
-
Align the quick release
Line up the wheel’s MOZA quick-release hub with the base hub, ensuring the splines and locking mechanism are aligned.
-
Push to lock
Press the wheel straight onto the hub until it clicks securely into place. Gently pull and twist the rim to confirm there is no play.
-
Reconnect power and PC
Plug the base back into power and confirm your USB connection from base to PC is solid.
-
Open MOZA Pit House
Launch MOZA Pit House on your PC and confirm the RS V2 is detected as the active wheel.
-
Check for firmware updates
In Pit House, run any suggested firmware updates for both the base and the wheel to ensure best performance.
-
Set up button and LED profiles
Use Pit House to map key functions (ERS, DRS, pit limiter, menu controls, etc.) to the buttons, encoders, and joysticks. Customize LED colors and rev-strip behavior.
-
Configure in your sim
Launch your favorite sim (iRacing, ACC, F1, etc.), select your MOZA base, and bind each control to in-game actions. Do a short practice run and refine your layout as needed.
Product Installation Guide
-
Prepare your rig and base
-
Ensure your MOZA base is firmly mounted to your cockpit, stand, or desk clamp with no noticeable flex.
-
Double-check that your seat and pedal positions are dialed in before mounting the wheel.
-
-
Verify the quick-release interface
-
Check both the wheel-side and base-side QR for dust or debris.
-
Confirm there’s no visible wear or damage to the locking ring or splines.
-
-
Mount the RS V2 onto the base
-
With the base powered off, align the wheel hub with the base hub.
-
Push the wheel on until it fully seats and locks.
-
Apply a small twisting and pulling motion to verify a firm, play-free connection.
-
-
Route any additional cables (if needed)
-
If your rig includes extra devices (dash screens, button boxes, etc.), route their cables so they don’t interfere with wheel rotation or your hands.
-
-
Power on and run base calibration
-
Power the base and PC back on.
-
Let the base run its startup calibration; keep your hands away from the wheel while it centers.
-
-
Open MOZA Pit House for device verification
-
Confirm that the base and RS V2 are recognized.
-
Test each button, rotary, joystick, and paddle in the input test screen.
-
-
Set clutch paddle behavior
-
Configure the dual clutch paddles for your preferred mode (dual-clutch starts, single clutch, or auxiliary axes/buttons).
-
Calibrate travel as prompted by Pit House.
-
-
Configure LEDs and button colors
-
In the LED configuration menu, set your shift light RPM thresholds, flash behavior, and color scheme.
-
Optionally color-code buttons by function group (e.g., blue for navigation, red for critical race controls).
-
-
Fine-tune sim profiles
-
In each sim, bind controls and save distinct profiles (e.g., “RS V2 GT,” “RS V2 Rally”) so you can quickly swap layouts between disciplines.
-
-
Final physical & safety check
-
With the car stationary, turn the wheel lock-to-lock and actuate all paddles.
-
Confirm no interference with your legs, rig, or monitor stand.
-
After a few sessions, re-check your base mounting hardware for tightness.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which games does the RS V2 work with?
A: When paired with a compatible MOZA wheelbase, the RS V2 works with most major PC sim titles, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa / ACC, F1 series, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2, and DiRT / WRC titles. Compatibility is effectively governed by the base and its drivers—if the base is supported in a game, the RS V2 will work with it.
Q: Is the RS V2 suitable for beginners as well as advanced sim racers?
A: Yes. The RS V2’s realistic 13-inch size, leather grips, and intuitive layout make it comfortable for newcomers, while the forged carbon build, magnetic paddles, and programmable controls give advanced racers the precision and durability they expect.
Q: Can I use the RS V2 for long endurance races?
A: Absolutely. The combination of genuine leather grips, a solid forged carbon/aluminum structure, and ergonomic control placement makes it well-suited for multi-hour stints where comfort and control are equally important.
Q: Do I need extra software for setup?
A: You’ll want MOZA Pit House on PC. Basic use is plug-and-play with a MOZA base, but Pit House lets you customize button mappings, LED behavior, clutch modes, and save different profiles per game.
Q: How “realistic” is the wheel size compared to real cars?
A: The RS V2 is a 13-inch (330 mm) rim, which is a very common size for GT and touring car steering wheels. That makes it a good all-rounder for circuit, rally, and road-car-style racing.
Q: Is the RS V2 wireless or wired?
A: As a rim, the RS V2 communicates through the MOZA base via the base’s connection method (some bases support wireless + wired). From the user perspective, you simply mount it on a compatible MOZA wheelbase via the quick release—no separate USB cable is required from the wheel itself.
