Getting Started Guide
-
Unbox and inspect
-
Carefully remove the mBooster pedal and included accessories from the box.
-
Check the pedal arm, face, and connectors for any visible damage.
-
-
Plan the pedal role
-
Decide whether this pedal will act as your brake (most common), throttle, or clutch.
-
You’ll lock this in later via MOZA Pit House.
-
-
Position the pedal on your rig
-
Place the pedal where you want it on your pedal deck or cockpit floor.
-
Sit in your normal driving position and check comfort: knee angle, ankle angle, and reach at full depression.
-
-
Mark and pre-fit mounting holes
-
If you’re hard-mounting, mark the hole positions through the pedal base.
-
Pre-drill if needed (for wood) or align with existing slots in aluminum profile rigs.
-
-
Mount the pedal securely
-
Bolt the pedal down using appropriate bolts, washers, and nuts.
-
The assembly should not move or flex even under maximum braking force.
-
-
Connect power and USB
-
Connect the power adapter to the pedal and to a suitable power outlet.
-
Plug the pedal’s USB cable directly into your PC.
-
-
Install MOZA Pit House
-
Download and install MOZA Pit House from MOZA’s website.
-
Launch it and confirm the mBooster Active Pedal is detected.
-
-
Assign pedal function and calibrate
-
In Pit House, choose whether the pedal is brake / throttle / clutch.
-
Run the calibration routine and verify that travel and force register smoothly.
-
-
Load a starting profile
-
Select a preset profile (e.g., “GT brake” or “road car throttle”) as a baseline.
-
Test the feel in the software before jumping into a sim.
-
-
Configure in your sim
-
In your racing game’s controls menu, bind the pedal to the appropriate axis.
-
Test in a practice session and make minor adjustments in Pit House until it feels natural and repeatable.
-
Product Installation Guide
-
Prepare your cockpit
-
Ensure your pedal deck is rigid and level; check for any existing mounting slots or holes.
-
Clean the mounting area so the base sits flat.
-
-
Determine mounting orientation
-
Decide on the pedal’s lateral position (left, center, or right) and distance relative to your seat and steering wheel.
-
If pairing with other pedals (CRP2, etc.), align heights and spacing for a consistent feel.
-
-
Mark mounting points
-
Place the pedal where you want it and mark the mounting holes.
-
Confirm underneath that your bolts will clear any obstructions.
-
-
Drill and prep (if needed)
-
Drill holes in wooden decks if required, or slide T-nuts into your aluminum profile channels.
-
Deburr any sharp edges around the holes.
-
-
Bolt down the pedal
-
Use the supplied mounting screws or appropriate M-bolts/washers.
-
Tighten in a cross pattern to avoid twisting the base.
-
Test with full braking force to confirm there is zero flex.
-
-
Route cables safely
-
Run the power and USB cables along your rig frame, away from your feet and moving components.
-
Use cable ties or clips to keep everything tidy and strain-relieved.
-
-
Power and USB connection
-
Plug the 48 V power adapter into the pedal, then into mains power.
-
Connect USB directly to your PC (avoid unpowered hubs when possible to ensure stable power and signal).
-
-
Install / update firmware
-
Open MOZA Pit House and check for firmware updates for the mBooster.
-
Apply updates if available, following on-screen instructions and power-cycling the pedal if requested.
-
-
Tune pedal feel
-
In Pit House, adjust travel, angle, damping, rebound, friction, and engagement point.
-
Start with moderate forces and gradually increase until you find a level you can hit consistently.
-
-
Configure dynamic effects
-
Enable or tune ABS, TC, engine vibration, chassis vibration, gearshift and G-force effects depending on your sim and personal preference.
-
-
Create multiple profiles
-
Save separate profiles for different cars or sims (e.g., GT3, F1, street, rally).
-
Test each profile in-game and refine as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What makes the mBooster Active Pedal different from regular load-cell pedals?
A: Traditional pedals are passive – they only measure how hard you press. The mBooster is active, using a servo motor, ball-screw drive, and high-resolution encoder to push back with dynamic force feedback. It can simulate ABS, traction control, engine/chassis vibration, gearshift impacts, and more, giving you much richer feedback through your foot.
Q: Can I use the mBooster as a brake, throttle, or clutch?
A: Yes. In MOZA Pit House you can switch between brake, throttle, or clutch with a single click and then adjust force curves and feel accordingly. Many drivers run it as a brake, but it’s flexible enough to serve any pedal role in your setup.
Q: Does it work with non-MOZA wheelbases?
A: Yes. The mBooster connects directly to your PC via USB and is compatible with most branded wheelbases, not just MOZA. It also integrates seamlessly with CRP2 pedals and MOZA wheelbases for a unified ecosystem.
Q: How quiet is the pedal in use?
A: Despite having an internal motor and ball-screw mechanism, the mBooster is designed for quiet operation, with measured noise levels around 44 dB, so it’s suitable for home setups and late-night racing.
Q: Do I need to change springs or rubbers to adjust pedal feel?
A: No mechanical swaps are needed. All major parameters – stroke, stiffness, damping, friction, engagement point, and force curves – are tuned in software via MOZA Pit House, so you can go from “soft road car” to “stiff F1 brake” in a few clicks.
Q: Can I pair this with my existing CRP2 or other pedals?
A: Absolutely. The mBooster can be used as a single active brake alongside CRP2 throttle/clutch or other pedals. MOZA explicitly notes full compatibility with CRP2 pedal sets, and many users run mixed setups.
