DOF Reality H2 2-Axis HERO Universal Motion Simulator Platform
Your gateway to professional-grade motion — right from your home cockpit.
Take your simulation experience to the next level with the DOF Reality H2 2-Axis HERO Universal Motion Platform — a precision-engineered motion base that brings authentic pitch and roll dynamics into your flight or racing setup.
This is more than just a moving seat. The H2 moves your entire cockpit — including your yoke or wheel, pedals, throttle, and monitors — so that every climb, turn, and landing feels physically real. It bridges the gap between simulation and reality, allowing your body to feel what your eyes see.
Compact, powerful, and quiet, the H2 delivers true motion immersion for both beginners and experienced simulator users looking for a performance-proven, upgrade-ready foundation.
Product Features
Designed for Realistic Motion Feedback

The H2 platform recreates the sensations of flight and racing using two synchronized motion axes: Pitch and Roll. These two dimensions are responsible for many of the physical cues your body feels during motion.
| Axis | Motion Type | Simulation Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Pitch | Forward and backward tilt | Feel nose-up climbs, descents, braking, and acceleration. |
| Roll | Side-to-side tilt | Experience aircraft banking, cornering forces, and lateral motion cues. |
By moving your full cockpit together, the H2 maintains control alignment and creates a more natural simulation experience. Your seat, controls, and accessories move as one platform, helping your body react as if you were inside the aircraft or race car.
Engineered for Strength, Precision, and Longevity
Built from high-strength metal construction, the H2 is designed for long-term simulator use. Each component — from the motion base to the control electronics — is built to support reliable movement, precision, and durability.
The platform can support up to 330 lbs / 150 kg of combined load, including the user, seat, controls, and mounted accessories.
Smooth & Fluid Motion
The H2 uses controlled motorized movement to translate simulator telemetry into physical motion. Motion feedback is fast, smooth, and adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune the feel for racing, flight, or hybrid simulation.
From subtle runway movement to aggressive cornering or braking feedback, the H2 gives your setup a physical dimension that fixed cockpits cannot provide.
Quiet Operation
The H2 is designed for home-friendly operation with a low noise profile. This makes it suitable for garages, spare rooms, offices, and shared simulator spaces.
Compatible with Top Simulation Titles

The H2 supports popular racing and flight simulator titles through motion software such as Sim Racing Studio (SRS), SimTools, and other compatible platforms.
Popular supported titles may include:
-
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 / 2020
-
X-Plane 12 / 11
-
DCS World
-
IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles
-
iRacing
-
Assetto Corsa / Assetto Corsa Competizione
-
Project CARS 2
-
F1 24
- Dirt Rally 2.0
SRS and compatible motion platforms interpret real-time telemetry data and translate it into physical motion across the H2’s pitch and roll axes. Motion intensity, smoothness, and response can be adjusted to match your preferred flight or racing profile.
Compact, Home-Friendly Design
The H2 delivers professional-style motion performance in a relatively compact footprint. With an approximate footprint of 3 ft x 5 ft, it can fit into many home offices, garages, spare rooms, or dedicated simulator spaces.
Despite its compact size, the H2 is a full-motion platform designed to replicate the core movement cues of both aircraft and racing vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What’s the main difference between the H2 and H3? Click to expand ▼
A. The H2 features two motion axes — pitch and roll — which simulate climbing, banking, acceleration, and braking forces. The H3 adds a third axis, yaw, allowing rotational motion for drifting, rudder turns, and additional directional movement.
Q. Can I use it for both flight and racing sims? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes. The H2 Universal is designed for both flight and racing simulation. It can be configured for yoke-based flight setups, HOTAS-style controls, or wheel-based racing setups.
Q. How noisy is it? Click to expand ▼
A. The H2 is engineered for quiet operation and typically runs around 45–50 dB under normal load, depending on floor surface, accessory weight, and motion intensity.
Q. Is the setup complicated? Click to expand ▼
A. No. Most users can complete the core setup within 1–2 hours using the included guide and basic tools. Actual setup time depends on the seat, controls, and accessories being installed.
Q. Can I upgrade later? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes. The H2 can be upgraded to an H3 configuration by adding the yaw axis. DOF Reality’s modular design allows users to expand their motion system over time.
Q. What is the maintenance schedule? Click to expand ▼
A. Maintenance is simple. Check bolts and fasteners occasionally, keep actuators and moving parts clean, and apply a small amount of lubricant as recommended by the manufacturer, especially under heavy use.
Q. Will it work with PlayStation and Xbox? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes, but console compatibility depends on the specific game and connection method.
Consoles operate within closed and proprietary platforms. Only select games send motion data from consoles using UDP over the network, such as Gran Turismo 7, Gran Turismo Sport, Project CARS, Project CARS 2, Assetto Corsa, F1, Forza Motorsport 7, and Forza Horizon 4 and 5.
For supported console games, a MagicBox solution may be used. For the most accurate compatibility details, review the current DOF Reality supported games list before ordering.
Q. What seat should I use with the H2 platform? Click to expand ▼
A. Your seat setup depends on personal comfort and driving or flight style. The H2 supports most bottom-mount car or gaming seats, giving you flexibility to choose what feels best.
A bucket-style racing seat is recommended for added stability during higher-intensity motion. A 4-point or 6-point harness can be added for extra security, though it is optional. For best performance, a lightweight seat helps the motion platform respond faster and more precisely.
For convenience and adjustment, a standard bottom-mount car seat with sliders or rails is a practical choice. If you choose a bucket seat, you may need side-to-bottom bracket adapters and slider rails.
Seat Mount Dimensions:
- Depth: 280 mm front to back
- Width options: 345 mm (13.37”), 375 mm (14.49”), or 405 mm (15.94”)
Q. Does it come assembled? Click to expand ▼
A. The H2 ships in separate sections for safe delivery. Some assembly is required upon arrival, but the process is straightforward and allows you to customize your seating, control placement, and cockpit layout.
Q. How does VR motion cancellation or motion compensation work? Click to expand ▼
A. The DOF Reality motion simulator is compatible with major VR headsets, but combining motion simulation with VR can require extra setup because your head and headset move with the platform.
When the platform moves, the headset may interpret that physical movement as head movement inside the game. In many cases, reducing the motion intensity in your software settings creates a smoother experience.
If additional correction is needed, motion compensation software can be used. Motion compensation typically uses a tracker or controller mounted directly to the platform to remove the platform’s motion from the headset’s view.
Q. What motion compensation software can be used? Click to expand ▼
A. OpenVR Motion Compensation is a commonly used community-supported option for SteamVR-based setups. Some users may also use other compatible tools depending on their headset, simulator software, and tracking system.
For base-station VR systems, users often mount a Valve Index Controller, HTC Vive Controller, or Vive Tracker directly to the motion platform. For inside-out tracking systems, users may mount a compatible controller on the platform where the headset cameras can clearly see it.
The tracker should be securely mounted and isolated from vibration where possible.
Q. Are there hardware-based motion compensation methods? Click to expand ▼
A. Some VR users use hardware-based workarounds, such as mounting a sensor or controller directly to the motion platform or limiting certain headset tracking inputs. Results vary by headset, software version, and simulator setup.
For best results, use a stable tracker mounting location, reduce unnecessary vibration, and test gradually with lower motion intensity before increasing motion strength.

Love it
I have had my DOF Reality H3 for several years and was very happy with it. Customer support was great when I had some questions. I had upgraded it to SFU gearboxes and never had any problems with it.
Then this year, I went to the Chicago SIM racing expo and tried out the DOF H6. Well, I ordered the H6 the same day.
The DOF H6 is very nicely built. Everything fits together perfectly. It has different hole patterns for various pedals and Wheel bases, so my stuff bolted right on. Over the years they really have refined and improved their motion simulators.
The emersion is awesome. Feels very realistic, so fun to drive. I am super happy and can highly recommend the DOF Reality H6.
Thank you. :)
The DOF Reality platform is an experience everyone should try. Initially, I viewed it as just another motion seat, but testing it in person at the Flight Sim Expo changed my perspective entirely. The immersion it offers is remarkable and goes beyond my expectations. I use the H3 platform and while primarily intended for flight simulation, I found it equally compelling for other gaming genres like Formula 1. The customer service was excellent, although international shipping times can be lengthy. Overall, I'm highly satisfied and recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their gaming immersion.
The support at DOF Reality is absolutely top-notch! My DOF Reality P3 Motion Simulator is incredible, and I use it regularly. I'm constantly tweaking and adjusting my motion rig, as well as adding and changing devices on my computer—sometimes leading to conflicts or unexpected issues.
Twice now, I’ve encountered problems with my P3 Motion Rig, and both times, the DOF Reality Support Team responded within 24 hours (despite a 9-hour time difference). Each time, they provided a solution that worked perfectly, making the troubleshooting process smooth and stress-free.
I’ve never felt frustrated or alone with this Motion Beast, and I’m incredibly grateful for the outstanding support behind this amazing simulator.
Huge thanks to the DOF Reality Team—you’re the best!
Love my H6. So damn cool for rotary!
Needs a bit of mounting, set up and care, but it is totally worth it.
