DOF Reality H2 2-Axis HERO Racing Motion Simulator Platform
The perfect balance of realism, performance, and value for racing enthusiasts and pros alike.
Get ready to feel every turn, brake, and acceleration like never before. The DOF Reality H2 Motion Racing Platform takes simulation beyond visuals by translating in-game physics into real-world motion. Designed for e-sports, VR training, and dedicated home setups, this 2-axis motion rig moves your entire cockpit — not just the seat — to deliver a more authentic full-body racing experience.
Built with DOF Reality engineering precision, the H2 platform gives you true pitch and roll motion to simulate road gradients, braking G-forces, and cornering dynamics. Every movement feels fluid, controlled, and synchronized with the track.
If you want a motion platform that delivers the essential racing sensations without jumping into a larger 3-axis or 6-axis system, the H2 is a strong starting point for building a realistic home or training simulator.
Product Features
2-Axis Motion for True Racing Immersion

The H2 focuses on the two most essential motion axes for racing simulation: pitch and roll. These movements help recreate the physical sensations of braking, acceleration, elevation changes, and cornering forces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Will it work with PlayStation and Xbox? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes, but console motion support depends on the game and setup method.
Consoles operate within closed and proprietary platforms. Only select games send motion data from consoles using UDP over the network, such as Gran Turismo 7, Gran Turismo Sport, Project CARS, Project CARS 2, Assetto Corsa, F1, Forza Motorsport 7, and Forza Horizon 4 and 5.
For supported console games, the MagicBox solution may be used. For the most accurate compatibility details, review the current DOF Reality supported games list or contact us before ordering.
Q. What seat should I use with the H2 platform? Click to expand ▼
A. The H2 supports most bottom-mount car or gaming seats, giving you flexibility to choose the seat that fits your comfort and driving style.
A bucket-style racing seat is recommended for added stability during high-intensity motion. A 4-point or 6-point harness can be added for extra security, though it is optional. For best performance, choose a lightweight seat so the platform can react faster and more precisely.
For convenience, a standard bottom-mount car seat with sliders or rails is a practical choice. If you choose a bucket seat, you may need side-to-bottom bracket adapters and slider rails.
Seat Mount Dimensions:
- Depth: 280 mm front to back
- Width options: 345 mm (13.37”), 375 mm (14.49”), or 405 mm (15.94”)
Q. Does it come assembled? Click to expand ▼
A. Some assembly is required upon arrival.
The H2 Motion Platform ships in separate boxes for safer and more convenient delivery. Assembly is straightforward and allows you to customize your cockpit layout around your seat, controls, and preferred driving position.
Q. How does VR motion cancellation or motion compensation work? Click to expand ▼
A. The DOF Reality motion simulator is compatible with major VR headsets, but motion platforms can create a visual offset because your head and headset move with the rig.
In many cases, reducing motion intensity in the software is enough to create a smoother VR experience. If additional correction is needed, motion compensation software such as OpenVR Motion Compensation can be used with a tracker mounted to the platform.
For base-station VR systems, users often mount a Valve Index Controller, HTC Vive Controller, or Vive Tracker directly to the motion platform. For inside-out tracking headsets, users may mount a controller where the headset cameras can see it clearly.
Make sure any tracker is securely mounted and isolated from vibration using dampening material when possible.
Q. What is the difference between the H2 and H3? Click to expand ▼
A. The H2 provides 2-axis motion: pitch and roll. This covers the core racing sensations such as braking, acceleration feel, elevation changes, and cornering forces.
The H3 adds yaw / rear traction movement for additional realism, especially for drifting, traction loss, and more dynamic racing feedback.
Q. Do I need technical experience to build this? Click to expand ▼
A. No. Assembly is designed to be beginner-friendly with the included guide and tools. Setup time varies depending on your seat, wheel, pedals, and accessory layout.
Q. Will this rig work with VR? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes. The H2 is commonly used for VR racing and provides motion feedback that can pair well with head tracking. For best comfort, start with lower motion intensity and gradually increase it as you adjust.
Q. How loud is the system? Click to expand ▼
A. Noise levels are minimal and generally comparable to a desktop fan or gaming PC. Actual sound may vary depending on motion intensity, flooring, mounted hardware, and room acoustics.
Q. Can I upgrade to more motion later? Click to expand ▼
A. Yes. The H2 is part of a modular platform family and can be upgraded for additional motion capability depending on the upgrade path and available DOF Reality kits.
Q. What kind of maintenance is required? Click to expand ▼
A. Keep the platform clean, periodically check fasteners, inspect moving joints, and follow DOF Reality’s recommended maintenance guidance. For best performance, keep actuators and pivot areas free of dust and debris.

Love it
I have had my DOF Reality H3 for several years and was very happy with it. Customer support was great when I had some questions. I had upgraded it to SFU gearboxes and never had any problems with it.
Then this year, I went to the Chicago SIM racing expo and tried out the DOF H6. Well, I ordered the H6 the same day.
The DOF H6 is very nicely built. Everything fits together perfectly. It has different hole patterns for various pedals and Wheel bases, so my stuff bolted right on. Over the years they really have refined and improved their motion simulators.
The emersion is awesome. Feels very realistic, so fun to drive. I am super happy and can highly recommend the DOF Reality H6.
Thank you. :)
The DOF Reality platform is an experience everyone should try. Initially, I viewed it as just another motion seat, but testing it in person at the Flight Sim Expo changed my perspective entirely. The immersion it offers is remarkable and goes beyond my expectations. I use the H3 platform and while primarily intended for flight simulation, I found it equally compelling for other gaming genres like Formula 1. The customer service was excellent, although international shipping times can be lengthy. Overall, I'm highly satisfied and recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their gaming immersion.
The support at DOF Reality is absolutely top-notch! My DOF Reality P3 Motion Simulator is incredible, and I use it regularly. I'm constantly tweaking and adjusting my motion rig, as well as adding and changing devices on my computer—sometimes leading to conflicts or unexpected issues.
Twice now, I’ve encountered problems with my P3 Motion Rig, and both times, the DOF Reality Support Team responded within 24 hours (despite a 9-hour time difference). Each time, they provided a solution that worked perfectly, making the troubleshooting process smooth and stress-free.
I’ve never felt frustrated or alone with this Motion Beast, and I’m incredibly grateful for the outstanding support behind this amazing simulator.
Huge thanks to the DOF Reality Team—you’re the best!
Love my H6. So damn cool for rotary!
Needs a bit of mounting, set up and care, but it is totally worth it.
